Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. House mouse christmas

I hope you are all having a good day. Here in the mountains the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the cats and the ducks are having a stand off in the lane. Todays card features an adorable house mouse image. The image comes from The House Mouse triple cd collection. The art work is the work of Ellen Jareckie. In this collection there are 3 discs..one of which is solely christmas. I love this image of the two mice cuddling up..it makes me want to cuddle under a quilt drinking hot chocolate with someone special. Mind you with me that someone special would probably be a cat. I have of course just had to glitter the image. The backing paper is from the cd but not the one that shows with this image. I love looking through the backing papers...I will use my favourites in lots of different ways, with lots of different images..not just with the one suggested. I hope you like it. So wherever you are I hope you have a really good day...take care and happy crafting.
