Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Saturday..Age of Elegance 2

This has got to be one of my most loved images. It is from the Joanna Sheen 'Age of Elegance' cdrom. The image itself is from a painting by Waterhouse The backing paper is a William Morris design...on this cdrom there are 3 collections of backing papers, one of which is a collection of William Morris designs which are gorgeous. The lattice in the backgroun is made using a Joanna Sheen Signature Die..Planter with lattice. I cut off the planter section, which I will use on another card and used the lattices on this. The rose leaves are also from the Signature die range. The actual image has been decoupaged. This is really one of the reasons that I love cdrom crafting..you have the privilege of using such amazing artwork. My collection of cdroms must be around 200 and when I think of the library of artwork that I'm lucky enough to have to use..it really does amaze me. Well I have lots of crafting to do today which I will be sharing with you soon. I hope you all have a great weekend..so take care and happy crafting
