Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Angels and wildflowers

Todays card is made using products from the Aspire range of crafting goodies. I love the vintage theme, as I'm sure you all know by now...lol. The image is from the Vintage Bloom collection and the frame is from the DekroMount range. All are acid and lignin free, making them all perfect for all your scrapbooking. You can purchase all these wonderful crafting goodies from Julie over at jb-crafting supplies. I coloured the frame with gold paint and backed it with burgundy card. The backing paper and border are from the hollypond hill cdrom by Joanna Sheen. It is such a useful cd because there are some fabulous backing papers thatyou could use with any other crafting. The only other thing that I've added is an over sized bow, which is burgundy voile with gold sequins.

Today is another lovely day here in the mountains. As I wheeled Reg on his daily walk, I was struck by the number of wildflowers on the edges of the lane and it brought back memories of my childhood. As a little girl, I loved all the flowers that grew on the verges and in the fields around the farm. Today I noticed white clover flowers edged the lane, along with daisies, buttercups and foxgloves. As I wheel along I pass the most beautiful dog rose whose scent follows you. The bees are loving the wild raspberry bushes...it was covered today and you could hear their buzzing for quite a way. Some days it really hits me just how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place. I even love it when it's raining..lol. The way I look at it..if it's raining outside,it means crafting time inside.

Well the coffee is calling..I hope you are having a good day..so until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting.
