Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. The rabbit, the snowman and the robin

Todays card is from the wonderful Bebunni Christmas cdrom from Crafters Companion. I love the images on this cd..it may be of course because it features rabbits..lol. I simply had to glitter the image. As all the cats can testify to..they are all now covered with sparkles. I'm also sharing this card as a set that I'm creating for the wonderful design team over at JB-Crafting Supplies.

I'm sorry that I didn't get to blog yesterday but I had a crazy day and time just got  away from me. Before I knew it..it was time to make dinner. I'd got up early so that I could have a long day crafting trying to get ready for a stall I'm having at a christmas fair but as always..the best laid plans and all that.It was like the house had a revolving door and that the telephone never stopped. It made me quite dizzy..lol.

Well pinkie has settled back home. She is back to bossing everyone around...so I no doubt that she is back on form. She came to bed alongside two more of the girls and as always I ended up with the smallest area on the bed...lol. Trying to read my book with three cats vying for my attention is hard work. Each of them wanted to be in top spot..right under my chin and they kept trying to outdo each other. While all this moving is going on..I'm the one trying to read a book. In the end I had to give up and ended up putting my cd player on. Since losing Henry, the hardest time seems to be the middle of the night and I tend to put the cd player on because at least the house doesn't sound so quiet. I'm going to order a couple of cds for listening to over christmas. One is the Annie Lennox christmas cd and the other is the Lady Antebellum cd. Henry loved both of these and we listened to both of them last year. It may seem a wierd thing to do but it will bring back special memories of last christmas and I think it may help. I need to focus on the happy times that I was lucky enough to share with Henry. I think that this is my way of going forward..it may not suit everyone but It what I need to do at the moment.

The weather here in the mountains today is still freezing. The mountains themselves are covered in mist..it's like being in Brigadoon. The cats have decided to stay in doors today and I can't say that I blame them. It seems very quiet here today..especially after yesterday, so the crafting is shouting at me..lol. It seems that the time has come to get the glitter out..again. But first of course.. a coffee is needed. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting
