Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Merry Christmas

I've just looked through all the christmas cards that I've made and I think that this is my favourite of the year. So I'm sending it to you all to wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. As most of you know this year has been a very hard year and christmas especially has been very difficult and upsetting time. But thanks to you all and all your messages of support and friendship, I have made it through.
I've decided that from today, I'm going to take the time off until the new year. So this will be my last blog of 2014. I will return in the new year with lots of new cards and new ideas. I have lots of plans for in the new year which I will share with you all then. I will also have some exciting news. But for now I'm off to put the carols on and do some christmas baking.

So from my heart, I hope you all have a fantastic christmas. Lots of love to you and yours..take care and as always happy crafting..Genny xxx
