Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Thomas Kinkade..part 2

Todays card as promised is from the new Thomas Kinkade paper pad brought to us by Joanna Sheen. It is a design team make for the fabulous team over at JB Crafting Supplies. I love this image and think it would be a great card to send in the spring, also I think it would be a card suitable for a male or female.. I have mounted the image onto some green card and have used some plain coloured backing paper.I love the fact that there is so much detail in the image and also that you could use the image on a variety of different sized cards. It really is a great little pad to add to your stash.

The mists are down low here in the mountains today. Somedays we really look as if we live in Brigadoon. You can look round and it's really as if the rest of the world isn't out there. There is no view down the valley just a wall of white mist. All the cats are in..most of them I have to say have taken themselves off to bed and no not their own but mine. And the electric blanket isn't even on..lol
They have all been busy keeping an eye on the freezer though. They know that there is a lot of meat in there and everytime I go to touch the handle.. a little head will pop up. After yesterday and Jeffrey trying to head off with the bag containing the gammon..they're all on the lookout.

So how are you getting on with your christmas preparations? I have finally finished buying christmas presents...I've just waiting for 7 to arrive in the post..I'm just hoping that they arrive in time. Since I've placed the orders, all I keep hearing is the backlog of deliveries. Keep your fingers crossed for me..lol. I'm planning to have a few days of baking next week. I know I'm sad but I find it really relaxing. I'll have some christmas tunes on the cd player and spend a couple of days baking and getting my kitchen ready for christmas. Some things I know that I'm going to find hard...Henry and I always made mince pies together..chatting and laughing..these are memories that this year will be hard to deal with. I'll just keep counting my blessings and remember the special years that I was allowed to share with him.

Well the coffee is calling and I've lots to do..presents to wrap and cards still to make. So until tomorrow..take care and happy crafting
