Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Owls everywhere

Todays card is another one from The Jane Netley Mayhewcdrom by Joanna Sheen. As you all know, I have a thing for owls. I was thinking of what card to make and then I received an email from my friend the pa,who is currently in Barcelona. She had taken a picture of Henrys Tshirt..so she will be the first dot on Spain. As many of you will know a tshirt has been produced featuring Henrys artwork and in his memory, people take the tshirt with them when they travel and send a picture back. That way Henrys artwork travels to places that he never got the chance to see and it all helps to keep his memory alive. Also all funds raised go to the Henry Memorial Fund which will help to fund emergency equipment for the village. Well my friend the pa took the tshirt to Barcelona with her and took the picture. But was really amazing was the fact that she also found a huge art installation of an owl which was perched on top of a building.

I just couldn't believe what I was looking at. Henry would have loved it. It must be the week for owls..my friend who owns a fab antique shop got in touch yesterday as she had just had a vintage brooch in and said she thought of me...so now that will be arriving soon. And then there is the owl still landing on my roof every night...so I thought that it was only fitting that I made another owl card.

Here in the mountains today, the sun is shining...it's so  unusual All the cats have left the building, apart from Nicademus..he has decided that the airing cupboard is his place of choice for today.

Well the coffee is calling and there is lots of work to do, so I will smile at Sparkle and hope for the best. So until tomorrow take care and happy crafting.
