Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB-Crafting Supplies and Brambly Hedge

Todays card is a design team make for the wonderful JB-Crafting Supplies. I made this card using the truly adorable Brambly Hedge triple cdrom, brought to us crafters by Crafters Companion. I have always loved the art work of Jill Barklem and just love the amount of detail that she manages to put into every picture. I mounted the backing paper and the image onto some dark green card and created a small border with the same. To this I added some diecuts flowers which I had coloured with my promarkers to match in with the backing paper. I could spend ages just looking at the paintings on this cd..there is just so much to see.
Well it's a lovely day here in the mountains today. All the cats are outside enjoying the sunshine. From where I'm sat I can see Raven, Tankie and Jeffrey all stretched out on the studio roof. Milky is walking round the top of the village...no doubt looking for some extra food. She is a cat of small stature but has an amazing little round tummy. She will tell anyone that will listen that she is starving all the time..lol. A neighbour has her visit quite often and we laugh together over the size of the tummy. Virgo man has just visited with Jack. He really is a good dog...he sat on the patio watching all the cats and never even whimpered. And of course my cats just looked at him as much to say oh look another dog..lol. One of my friends brought her dog Tilly for a visit the other night. She is a Jack Russell and I have to say that when she wags her tail it's as if she is wagging her whole body. Reg thought it was wonderful to have a lady dog visit and again all my cats didn't even raise an eyelid.I really am blessed that my animals get on so well together. Sprout will be out of his pen this week. All his injuries from the fight have now healed and he is back on four legs. Let's just hope he doesn't do it again. No-one would have ever thought that little Sprout would ever get an attitude..but he has.
Well the coffee is calling and then I have some commenting to do on the various blogs that I'm part of. I find it so interesting to see other peoples creations and am always amazed at the creativity that is out there. So until tomorrow...take care and happy crafting.
