Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. JB-Crafting Supplies....Home Decor

Hello everyone, I'm back again with some design team makes for the wonderful company of JB-Crafting Supplies. As you will know from last week, I made the plaque using the word dream and using a stamp from Sheena Douglass to create the flower border. I also created a door hanger to match. which is pictured above. Well for this week I made this hanging flower to tie in with the colours of the other two items. The flower has been jewelled and beaded above and below. I must apologise for the photo..it was so hard to try and take a photo on my own. It could be that sometimes a little bit caggy handed..lol I will take a photo when it's in place in my bedroom.
.

The flower was made by cutting a kitchen roll holder into 6 strips and painting them with pink acrylic. I then attached the petals onto some toning backing paper and cut them out. I then did two strings of beads and attached them to the top and bottom of the flower. I then cut out two circles of the backing paper and then added some glitter paper and a large jewel to the centre. All the products that I have used are from JB-Crafting Supplies.

So in the space of a week, I have made three items to decorate my bedroom. I do hope that the cats leave them alone. They seem to love the flower..it's the beads that attract them...hopefully when it's hung up, they won't be able to reach it...lol

The nameless cat is doing so well. I'm definitely thinking of calling her Flossie. At the moment she is fast asleep. All the other cats are getting used to her and seem to go up to the pen. It won't be long until she really settles in. She seems to be very hungry so she is getting lots of extra little treats...much to the disgust of the rest of them...I do tend to remind them that they were all treated the same when they arrived.

I think that it's time for another coffee..so I'm off for a refill..lol. I will be back later with another design team make...I have to get through them whilst BT is in a good mood.
