Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Well what a couple of days I've had. The cottage looks as if it has been stirred with a stick..lol. There is uproar in the village with news of a planned development. I have to laugh sometimes when people come to the village with big ideas and think that as a rural community we will believe all that they tell us and would be so excited with the thought of a shop. As it stands at the moment if we run out of something between shopping ..you either borrow it from a neighbour..or find out who is leaving the valley or even...shock horror..do without. The fact that they might sell some teabags and an ice cream is supposed to get us all excited. And what really amazes me is the number of cars that they say will come into the village...we look at their projections and are supposed to forget just how many people they bring to the village as it stands and the cars are just supposed to hover in mid air with no parking. The amount of parking that they have proposed just barely exceeds the number of cars that their staff will require..so no doubt we as residents won't even think that we may have dozens of cars with no where to park. It just makes me laugh that because we live in an isolated village we get treated like numpty heads. It doesn't surprise me that the gentleman who owns the company actually lives right next to an unused very large car park which would be an ideal place but then of course..he doesn't want any upheaval or noise where he lives..lol

It's been like cat roundabout today. Jeffrey has hurt his front leg and is sitting on the studio roof, feeling very sorry for himself. Flossie is asleep in the emergency pen. I had her out for a while today and she seems to be so friendly..she cuddled in and had a good purry moment. I do have a few worries but I will sort them out over the next couple of weeks. I go to sleep every night with Raven next to me. Well I had a bit of a shock this morning. Sprout had moved into her place and was cuddled up to me. When I think just how terrified he was when he arrived...and to see him now, full of spirit and above happy..it makes me smile.

Well the coffee is calling and I've lots to do. I intend to get all my work done this weekend and then next week I can concentrate on finding the house. I've a few plans for moving some furniture and emptying some more cupboards. My plan is to take it easy with some art over the weekend and then it will be pinny on and down to some more serious work. That's the plan any way. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.
