Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery...Let's get sewing

Here I am again. This card is a design team make for the wonderful company of Jiggery Makery. The lady is called Darlene and wish I looked half as good when I'm doing my sewing..lol. But she does make a fabulous card for a friend who is into sewing. I have also used her on a sign for my sewing room door. The only trouble is that I have yet to have the door made..lol. I coloured this card with my promarkers and embellished with some buttons and some flowers. If you get the chance, please pop over to the Jiggery Makery facebook page and take a look at all the other creations of the design team. They are always a wonderful source of inspiration.

It's still trying to snow here and most of the cats are now sat inside arguing over the catnip mouse. It has got to the point that Nicademus has sat on it and is not sharing. Boys will be boys..lol. There is a cold wind blowing and I have the feeling that it's going to freeze later. I'm all excited today as I've just had an email telling me that my new sewing machine should arrive tomorrow. I finally found my old sewing machine, only to find that it had totally ceased up. I was mad at first but then I realised that I had used it for over 30 years..lol. So I went on the hunt for a new one. I just couldn't believe just how much they have come down in price. When I had my old machine bought for me it was over £500..it was the best at the time but over the years I realised that an awful lot of what it could do was not appropriate for what I needed. So I gave it a lot of thought and came to the conclusion that I just need a straight stitch, zigzag and a button hole. Just about as boring as me..lol. Well I was so surprised to find a Brother with those features it's only £65 with free delivery and 3 years warranty. I'm very excited. I'm looking forward to doing some sewing. I will be starting another blog..maybe next month to showcase my sewing. It may be only once a month on that one and it will feature any creations I make. I am of course keeping this blog..this will as always be my main blog....where I can share my cards and other designs...and of course chat about everything else.

Well the coffee is calling yet again...I really am caffeine fuelled..lol. The cats are all quiet now..too much catnip no doubt. I decided that it's going to be a lazy dinner tonight..fish fingers, crinkle chips and salad. And I'm thinking of making some scones. So until next time..take care and happy crafting.
