Coming down out of the freezing sky with its depths of light, like an angel, or a Buddha with wings, it was beautiful, and accurate, striking the snow and whatever was there with a force that left the imprint of the tips of its wings — five feet apart — and the grabbing thrust of its feet, and the indentation of what had been running through the white valleys of the snow — and then it rose, gracefully, and flew back to the frozen marshes to lurk there, like a little lighthouse, in the blue shadows — so I thought: maybe death isn’t darkness, after all, but so much light wrapping itself around us — as soft as feathers — that we are instantly weary of looking, and looking, and shut our eyes, not without amazement, and let ourselves be carried, as through the translucence of mica, to the river that is without the least dapple or shadow, that is nothing but light — scalding, aortal light — in which we are washed and washed out of our bones. Jiggery Makery....Spring is coming..we hope

Here I am again. This card is a design team make for the fabulous Jiggery Makery. For this card I have used this digital design called Grace. Browns and Oranges formed the basis for this card. And there is a reason. I was looking through some vintage fashions and a picture I saw reminded me of an outfit that I had when I was little. It was a trouser suit that I had which was chocolate brown and tangerine..lol. It was the outfit that I wore whenever we had swimming..because it was so warm. It was made of the ever famous crimplene...do you remember it? The trousers were brown with an orange flash on the flare and the top was also brown but the collar and the pocket tabs were orange. I was so co-ordinated in my crimplene..lol. Well it was with this in mind..I coloured  Grace. And then still thinking of the 60's I remembered all the bright circles that appeared in fashion and home decor..so from that memory I designed the card base. It is strange what you remember at the strangest moments. I coloured Grace using my promarkers and then cut her out and added her to the card. I finally added the sentiment and added some toning flowers.

As I'm writing, Nosey has had an exciting little moment of his own. he has just discovered where I have hidden my inking brushes. Ever since I bought my brushes, I kept them at my side in a basket. That was until, the kittens started walking round. For some reason, the kittens loved them and were forever pinching them and running round the house with them..lol. It took me quite a while to collect the six brushes together again. Well when I was sorting my craft stuff out, I gathered them together and put them into a skull mug, placing them on a shelf by my chair. I was so pleased that the kittens hadn't bothered with them and thought that I'd won. Well obviously not. Nosey has just found them and is now fighting me to get hold of them..lol.No peace for me then.

I do hope that you will pop over to the Jiggery Makery face book page and take a look at all the wonderful designs that Adele..the owner and designer of Jiggery Makery..has created. Why not create something that reminds you of some outfit that you have had in the past. I can't help but smile every time I look at Graces outfit. I can almost smell the chlorine..lol

Well the coffee is calling again and then I have some printing to do. The kittens manage to unplug the printer every day..I don't know how they manage it..so I'll end up getting ready to print only to discover that it's been unplugged. Such is the life here in the mountains. I will be back tomorrow with an inspiration post for SLS Lines...a new thing for me..please keep your fingers crossed for me.So until then...take care and happy crafting.
